What makes a headshot commercial?
Commercial headshots are brighter and more open than theatrical ones: natural light or soft daylight-style lighting, an easy smile, and eye contact that feels friendly. They sell you as someone an audience would trust, buy from or want to watch.
How many looks can I do in 90 minutes?
Up to three. A typical commercial set is a bright everyday look, a smart-casual look for presenting or corporate work, and one more grounded image for screen drama. Three retouched images are included.
Do commercial headshots work for Spotlight?
Yes. The files are sized well above Spotlight's 500 by 500 pixel minimum and inside its 1MB to 40MB limit, with no watermark. Many actors use a commercial image as their main Spotlight photo when most of their work is screen.
Commercial or theatrical: which do I need?
Choose commercial if most of your castings are adverts, TV and presenting. Choose theatrical if you work mainly on stage. If you need both, book commercial and use one look for a stiller, closed-mouth image.

What should I wear?
Bright, solid colours that suit your skin tone, a smart-casual layer and something you would wear on a presenting job. Avoid logos, stripes and anything that needs explaining.
Will I be smiling in every shot?
No. We shoot a range from a full smile to a soft, closed-mouth look, so your agent has options for different briefs.
How much retouching do you do?
Light. Temporary marks go; your skin, freckles and character stay, because casting needs to recognise you on the day.
When do I get my photos?
Your private gallery opens on lemon.gallery within 48 hours of the shoot. Choose your favourites there and your retouched images follow.
