Drama school headshots, explained
What do drama schools want from a headshot?
A clear, recent, natural photograph that looks like you on the day of your audition. Panels are not looking for glamour or heavy styling; they want to see the person who will walk into the room. Simple clothes, little or no make-up, and a relaxed expression.
Why one look?
Drama school applications usually ask for a single photograph, so the session is built around getting one excellent image rather than several. You get two retouched images so you have a choice, or a second for a different school.
Can I use the same photo for Spotlight later?
Often yes, while it still looks like you. The files meet Spotlight's size and file limits. Most actors book a fuller theatrical or commercial session once they finish training and sign with an agent.

Questions
Other sessions
What should I wear?
A plain top in a solid colour that suits you, nothing branded or patterned. Bring one alternative in case the first does not work on camera.
Should I wear make-up?
Keep it minimal or none. Panels want to recognise you at your audition.
How quickly can I get them for a deadline?
Your gallery opens within 48 hours of the shoot. Book a date at least a week before your application deadline to leave time to choose.
