Actor headshots: your questions answered

Choose a session, pick a photographer or the first free time across all of them, then pay online. Only times that are free in the photographer’s own calendar are offered, so your booking is confirmed straight away.

£295 for a theatrical or commercial and screen session (90 minutes, up to three looks, three retouched images) and £175 for drama school or young performers (60 minutes). See prices.

Theatrical for stage and drama casting, commercial and screen for TV, film and adverts, drama school for applications, and young performers for under-16s. Compare sessions.

Bring three or four tops with different necklines in solid mid-tones and one layer such as a knit or jacket. Avoid logos, busy patterns and pure white.

At your photographer’s London studio or chosen location. The address is in your booking confirmation.

Your private gallery opens on lemon.gallery within 48 hours of the shoot. Heart your favourites, press Selection done, and your retouched images follow.

Light. Temporary marks and stray hairs go; skin texture and character stay, because casting needs to recognise you when you walk in.

Yes. The files meet Spotlight’s rules: at least 500 by 500 pixels, 1MB to 40MB, no watermark. Spotlight requirements.

Yes. Your gallery link can be shared, and the retouched images are yours to use on Spotlight, casting sites and your own site. Credit your photographer.

There are three ways in on the join page: a yearly listing, taking bookings through us, or joining our team. Bookings and team start with a short application; we review every one within two working days.

Nothing up front. We take a commission on each paid booking; Stripe pays you the rest after the booking.

Yes. A directory listing puts your profile, work and website in the directory from £12.99 a year, and clients contact you directly.

Bookings arrive in your lemon.gallery as jobs with a gallery ready for delivery. Clients choose their favourites there and you deliver from there.
